IMATS NYC 2018

Where do I begin? I finally made it IMATS this year after years of missing it. Every year something came up or I waited to late to purchase a ticket for the event. This year I wasn't going to miss out. I bought my tickets early and was waiting for the big day. The suspense of the unknown made me super anxious. I remember attending BeautyCon in the past and talking to this girl and her telling me that IMATS was way better. I couldn't wait to attend, the seminars, the discounts, and the atmosphere. Fast forward to Friday April 13th, IMATS I'm here; I finally made it. IMATS was a four day affair. I purchased my ticket to attend that Friday which was open to makeup professionals. I figured I wanted to bypass long lines, and didn't want it to be too crowded. I'm glad I did that because I don't have patience for long lines, and I had a list of things I needed, I couldn't run the risk of things selling out. I was ready, focused, and determined. Now let's get down to business. The doors were suppose open at 3pm; however, the doors opened at 3:10pm to be exact. It was a pretty hot day (78 Degrees), so waiting in line was not fun, but it was worth the wait. The discounts were great. The seminars were informative and the lines were decent well except for Morphe brushes. That line was ridiculous and I had no patience. The battle of the brushes contest did not disappoint, to see how creative and talented people are is super inspiring. It gives me motivation to get my artistry to that level. It was definitely worth the wait. I spent some money at Anastasia Beverly Hills, It Cosmetics, Lady Moss, Belief, and MAC Cosmetics. Unfortunately, I didn't get to get any Danessa Myricks foundations or anything from Sian Richards. I was disappointed a lot of vendors were not there. I was hoping Embryolisse, Kendo brands such as Ole Henrikson, Fenty Beauty, Marc Jacobs, Kiehl's, or Face Atlier would have been there. Yes I definitely had a list. I can't complain because I still enjoyed the experience.
